Class of 1987

35th Reunion Housing Lottery

*The lottery is now closed*

The Class of '87 Reunion Committee suggests that all returning alumni make early accommodation plans. Housing will be extremely tight and most of us will need to plan on hotels

The class has a small number of beds available on campus and additional beds at Rider University and Westminster Choir College. As in past years, beds at these locations will be awarded by lottery.

During Early Bird registration, classmates can request to be part of the lottery by selecting "I would like to request housing" on the registration housing page. Then indicate your preference for On Campus, Rider, Westminster College or all three. If you would like to be part of the lottery for two of the three options, select "I'm Flexible" and we will take care of your preference.

  • Lottery entries are limited to the number of people you are registering; in other words, if you register only yourself, you will be entered into the lottery for one bed.

  • Because housing is limited, the class will award a maximum of two beds per classmate, regardless of location. If you are bringing more than one guest, you may want to consider a hotel.

Our Housing Chairs will conduct the lottery around January 26th, at the completion of Early Bird registration. Lottery winners will be notified between January 26th and February 11th, and will be asked for payment at that time. If more beds become available at a later date, we will make them available to classmates according to their lottery position.

Housing fees and details are given below. All fees are for three nights, with Thursday check-in and Sunday

  • Princeton University dorm rooms: $155 per bed for the three nights. As always, the University will allot dorm beds -- not rooms -- to our class. Because we are on the far side of our 25th, we will receive very few beds. You will need to bring your own linens.

A Note on Room Sharing: We will not know the actual room configurations until just before Reunions when the bed allotment is converted into specific room assignments. When we assign rooms, we will give first priority to keeping families together and couples in the same room. Couples may need to share a quad or have adjoining singles. With the limited number of beds, we will not be able to guarantee requests to not share a room. If you are not comfortable sharing, please consider other arrangements.

  • Rider University: $205 per bed for the three nights, including linens. Shuttles will run from Rider to campus. All rooms are doubles and are air conditioned. Bathrooms might be down the hall. Parking is available.

  • Westminster Choir College: $180 per bed for the three nights, including linens. It is a 1.2 mile walk to our 35th headquarters at New South. Shuttles will not be available. All rooms are doubles and bathrooms are down the hall. Parking is available.

Housing fees will follow the same cancellation policy as registration fees.
